English is not my native language so I have to spell it letter by letter without having the slightest idea what it all means, In Windows I can usually mark a text with the right hand mouse button and then copy it, but Linux does'n seem to offer that same option, at least not here.Īnyhow, for what I gather I seem to have gotten instaled what you indicated. Problem is that I get not one but at least nine files that all start with libwxgtk. No other program I installed created such an icon on the taskbar below.
Why that icon is there I don't know at all, is that standard and must it be there all the time? Or does it have another meaning like to remind me that I must yet do something? Nowhere have I found an explanation so far. It seems that I can hardly have done anything wrong, I get the feeling that it's installed but that I must do something other than either clicking on the Veracrypt icon in the accessories list or to click on the Veracrypt icon in the righthand bottom corner right next to the clock indicator. That's why I reproduced Veracrypt's automatic installation response in my original post.

If it's my ignorance I don't know, when using Google I saw that the problem seemed to be that Veracrypt had to be installed differently. I tried to use the software manager but that didn't work. I obtained the Linux version direct from so I don think that the software I installed is faulty.
Can anyone please tell me what I do wrong? I already redid an install but that changed nothing at all. I see the Veracrypt icon on my bottom righthand corner of the screen but I can find any way to run Veracrypt.
I still get no reaction at all when clicking on Veracrypt in the list named "Accessories". Looking under Veracrypt in this forum I thought I had found the solution by rebooting my computer but that changed absolutely nothing. However, nothing happens when i select Veracrypt as a program.
